Mayor’s Pride Brunch

Event Details

The Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services presents the 14th annual Mayor’s Pride Brunch on June 16 in support of Camp fYrefly.

Guests will be treated to a delicious brunch with specialty drinks to brighten up their Sunday afternoon. Performances will include an out of this world drag show experience and fun, kid friendly activities for the whole family to enjoy on Father’s Day. All proceeds from the brunch will be used to ensure that no youth is turned away due to the cost of the camp.

Camp fYrefly is an educational, social, and personal learning retreat for sexual and gender minority (LGBTQ2S+) and allied youth. It focuses on building and nurturing their leadership potential and personal resiliency in an effort to help them learn how to make significant contributions to their own lives and to their schools, home/group-home environments, and communities. The Camp is designed for sexual and gender minority and allied youth between the ages of 14 and 24.

The Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS) brings together education, research, policy development, and community services in order to ensure that sexual and gender minorities (SGM) recognized and well served by their communities.
