Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Sales & Events, the Revenue Systems Analyst owns the integrity of revenue and event transaction data within the Momentus system (business operating system) driving accurate settlements, reporting, forecasting and market intelligence. This role plays a critical part in advancing revenue performance and operational effectiveness across event planning and invoicing functions at the Edmonton Convention Centre.

Key duties include: configure and maintain pricing structures, menus, packages, and revenue-related system controls in Momentus; apply data-driven pricing strategies such as dynamic pricing, segmentation, and packages to maximize revenue from rentable spaces; and lead technical discussions related to pricing models, utilization rules, minimum spend thresholds, rental rate structures, and policy application.

The Revenue Systems Analyst conducts regular system audits across Momentus, NetSuite, and NSPB to ensure data consistency and accuracy, and collects, tracks, and reconciles client payments to maintain complete and accurate records.

The Revenue Systems Analyst oversees the preparation, verification, and validation of client invoices. They generate and manage monthly leases; audit pricing workflows to identify discrepancies; and collaborates across departments to resolve inconsistencies.

In addition, the Revenue Systems Analyst produces weekly, monthly, and ad hoc revenue reports; drives sales reconciliation and variance analysis; analyzes revenue and pricing trends; assists with monthly and year-end revenue reports; and translates complex financial data into clear, actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and forecasting across the Sales & Events department.

 

Challenges

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective collaboration, and the ability to manage system accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and meet tight deadlines. Key challenges include maintaining clean data, improving processes, adapting to system changes, and resolving billing discrepancies across departments.

 

The Ideal Profile

  • 2-3 years experience working with sales or revenue management systems; experience with Momentus, business operating systems, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in bookkeeping, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools considered an asset.
  • Experience with venue management applications.
  • Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry, meeting planning or convention servicing background preferred.
